UPI Alert Pay is a utility application that:

  • Detects payment-related notifications received on the user’s device

  • Displays alerts when users receive or send payments

  • Maintains a transaction history locally on the user’s device only, based on user consent

UPI Alert Pay does not use any backend server or cloud database to store personal or transaction data.

2. Information We Collect

a. Notification Data (With User Consent)

UPI Alert Pay accesses notification content only after explicit user permission to:

  • Identify payment-related notifications (such as UPI or banking alerts)

  • Extract basic information like transaction status, amount, and app name

⚠️ All notification data is processed locally on your device and never sent to any server.

b. Locally Stored History

If you choose to enable transaction history:

  • Payment alerts and related details are stored only on your device

  • You can clear this data anytime from the app

  • No history is uploaded, shared, or backed up externally

c. Automatically Collected Data (Analytics & Stability)

We use the following Firebase services:

  • Firebase Analytics
    Collects anonymous usage data such as app interactions, screen views, and performance metrics.

  • Firebase Crashlytics
    Collects crash logs and diagnostic information to improve app stability.

This data does not include personal identity, payment content, or notification text.

3. Advertising

UPI Alert Pay uses Google AdMob to display ads.

AdMob may collect:

  • Device identifiers

  • Approximate location

  • Ad interaction data

This data is collected and processed according to Google’s Privacy Policy. UPI Alert Pay does not control or store this advertising data.

4. Permissions Used

UPI Alert Pay requests only the permissions required for core functionality:

  • Notification access (to detect payment alerts)

  • Foreground service permissions (for continuous alert monitoring)

  • Notification permission (to show alerts)

  • Battery optimization exemption (to ensure reliable operation)

Permissions are used strictly for app features and never for data selling or profiling.

5. Data Storage & Security

  • All sensitive data remains on the user’s device

  • No external servers or databases are used

  • Reasonable technical measures are taken to protect local data

6. Data Sharing

UPI Alert Pay:

  • ❌ Does not sell personal data

  • ❌ Does not share payment or notification data

  • ❌ Does not transmit transaction history to any backend

Data is shared only with:

  • Google (AdMob, Firebase) as required for ads and analytics

7. Children’s Privacy

UPI Alert Pay is not intended for children under the age of 13.

  • We do not knowingly collect data from children

  • Users under 13 are explicitly restricted from using the app

  • If we discover that data from a child has been collected, it will be deleted immediately

Parents or guardians may contact us to request removal of such data.

8. Your Rights (GDPR – European Union)

If you are located in the EU, you have the right to:

  • Access your data

  • Request deletion of locally stored data

  • Withdraw consent at any time

Since all personal data is stored locally, most actions can be performed directly within the app.

  • We do not sell personal information

  • We do not collect sensitive personal data for commercial resale

  • You may request information about data usage by contacting us

10. User Control

You can:

  • Enable or disable notification access anytime

  • Clear transaction history from the app

  • Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in features, laws, or services. Updates will be reflected with a revised effective date.
